Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam and may include teeth and gum cleaning if needed. Dr. Gerald Johnson will check the health of your pet from head to tail, and you will be very happy you came to Silverthorn Animal Clinic for service.
Bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic. It’s best to keep a journal of your pet’s health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important. Dr. Johnson can still work with whatever information you have.
In some circumstances, Dr. Johnson will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.

New Client Appointment
- Please set aside up to 1 hour for your initial visit.
- If you have records from a previous clinic, please bring them to your appointment or we can request them for you.
- Please fill out our online new client form online prior to your appointment.
- You will consult and build your relationship with your attending veterinarian.
- We will provide you with a treatment plan with any recommendations from your veterinarian prior to treatment.
New Puppy Room
- Please set aside up to 1 hour for your initial visit.
- Please bring any vaccine history or health certificate provided by your breeder or adoption agency.
- If you have records from a previous clinic, please bring them to your appointment or we can request them for you.
- You will consult and build your relationship with your attending veterinarian.
- We will provide you with a treatment plan with any recommendations from your veterinarian prior to treatment.
Holistic Evaluation
- Please set aside up to 1 hour for your initial visit.
- If you have records from a previous clinic, if possible, please send them over prior to your visit so our veterinarian can review the case. If you are unable to, we can request for you at the time of your appointment.
- Please bring medication/ supplement list that your pet is taking to your visit.
- You and the veterinarian will consult regarding your pets’ concerns and case.
- Once you have discussed the case. We will provide you will a treatment plan of the veterinarian’s recommendations prior to treatment.
