Dr. Gabrielle Rosario DVM

Dr. Rosario was born and raised in South Florida. She attended the University of Florida for her Bachelor’s degree in 2017. She then earned her degree in veterinary medicine from Louisiana State University in 2023. She is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture through Chi University and is also Fear Free certified. While applying to vet school, Dr. Rosario spent two years working as a veterinary assistant and developed special interests in preventive care, integrative medicine, dermatology, and surgery. In her free time, Dr. Rosario enjoys reading, visiting new restaurants, and spending time with her partner, Marcus and their dogs, Bruno and Snowball.

Cassy, CVT, Receptionist

June 2013. Cassy grew up in South Carolina where she went to school, earning associates of applied science in Veterinary Technology. In 2012, she packed up and headed for sunny Florida! She came to Silverthorn Animal Clinic and hasn’t looked back since! She enjoys having a career where she can educate pet owners and help them get the best possible care for their babies. Cassy has 6 babies of her own; 5 cats, Pepper, Jaina, Boris, Natasha, and Jezebel, and 1 dog, Eleanor, a shih tzu mix. In her free time, Cassy loves to read and cook (always bringing us delicious baked goods, of course). Although Cassy has considered a specialization within her degree, she has no plans set in stone, and is enjoying living life to the fullest each and every day!

Kelsey
Kelsey, Lead Reproduction Specialist

January 2016. Kelsey was originally born in Kissimmee Florida but was raised in Chattanooga Tennessee. Kelsey has four, four-legged babies, Chevelle, an American Staffordshire terrier, Oreo, a husky/golden retriever mix, Ivanna (or funky monkey) a Silky Terrier, and Big G, a bearded dragon. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys photography, crafting, cooking and posting on her blog, sports (GO NOLES!), and spending time with her family. In Chattanooga, Kelsey worked as a nurse in an emergency and specialty animal clinic, spent almost two years as a corrections officer over the federal men’s unit and women’s units at the local jail, and most recently spent her days as Senior Animal control officer and assistant Director for her local animal shelter. In August of 2015, life brought her and her husband to Florida, and she found her home away from home at Silverthorn. Kelsey has certifications in canine reproduction, orthopedic and rehab, pet nutrition, is a CEAT, and is Fear Free Certified. She hopes to continue learning and spreading her knowledge with others while at the clinic.

Tammy, Veterinary Technician

April 2012. Tammy has been with the clinic for the longest amount of time and now only works part-time, so you can find her here on the weekends! Tammy is our nature child of the group! She can be found hiking, exploring, scuba diving, and kayaking, usually with her two girls, Rumba and Cola, right by her side. When Tammy isn’t being cool and traveling the world, she’s hanging out close to home, and sometimes even at home with the girls and her kitty, Hugo. Tammy has a heart for all animals and enjoys being able to help while here at the clinic!
